We have released Prebuilt version one to the Devlounge community. This new theme concludes our month long series on Customizing WordPress. Later this week 9rules will reveal if Devlounge has been accepted or not into it’s network. Upon notification, we will roll out our homepage changes to incorporate more articles and less homepage news. Following this, we will begin work on Devlounge 2, will the time frame for launching panning out to sometime in mid July.

If Devlounge is accepted into 9Rules on May 17th, we will begin work on Devlounge 2. I have big plans for the next version of Devlounge, and while we build up content over the next month or two, we will also build up a team of coders and designers, and put together the best looking Devlounge around.

Common Questions
Q: Is Devlounge available for interviews?
A: Sure, we’d love to throw down with your site and answer some questions on what it was like to design and build devlounge, and what are long term plans are.
Q: Can I “borrow” the Devlounge design?
A: No. What you can do, is freely browse our code and take a look at our css. We’ve cleaned things are the best we can to make it easier for you to understand how we’ve layout things out and accomplished certain things.
Q: Who are you hosted on?
A: Devlounge is hosted on ASO (Asmallorange), who provide the most reliable and kick-ass hosting around. MT? No, we don’t need it.
Q: How do you track stats?
A: We use the ultimate choice of Mint, a javascript based stat tracker that let’s us know exactly where users are going and how they’re getting there. Maybe you should check out the Benefits of Mint.
Q: Do you use a cms as the backend for Devlounge?
A: Devlounge is powered by WordPress, the free and fully featured blog system turned cms by many designers and developers. We worked hard enough that it inputs valid code on all our pages, and keeps everything running smoothly.
