So what about when you’re redesigning and relaunching your own site? First, always know actually what you’re doing. A good place to start is by writing down your own focus points to what you hope and want to see in the next version of your site. Categorize things by priority, as well as the likeliness of them getting done. Another important tip is getting evolving your designs. It took me try after try to settle on a redesign I felt was worth it, and only time will tell how you, the reader, responses to the new design.
As always, you learn from your own mistakes. If certain things go wrong, those are things you focus on next time around. It’s always good to keep your site fresh, but make sure redesigns aren’t just improving design – but the user experience as well.
